Music for advertising and commercials

Finished, cleared tracks you can license direct from the composer, ready to drop into your edit. If nothing fits, I'll write something new for your brief.

I'm Luke Tyler, a UK composer and producer. I license my own catalogue of finished tracks for TV, online, cinema, radio and social adverts. You deal with me directly, so there's one person to brief, one quote and one licence.

The catalogue covers ambient, house, electro, breakbeat, garage, techno, drum and bass, jungle and downtempo. Every track comes in multiple lengths, and stems are available. If your spot needs something made to picture, I write custom music too.

What you get

Everything the edit and the mix need, from the person who wrote the music.

01

Multiple lengths

Full tracks and shorter edits, so the music fits your spot without awkward cuts. Need a length I don't have? I'll cut one to your timings.

02

Stems

Separate parts such as drums, bass and melody. Your editor or mixer can pull things back to make room for a voiceover.

03

Clear licence terms

We agree the media, territory and term for your project in writing before you pay. You'll know exactly what's covered.

04

One point of contact

You deal with me, the person who wrote and produced the music, from first listen to final files.

05

Fast turnaround

Ad schedules are tight, so I keep things simple. Once the licence is agreed, your files go out straight away.

How licensing works

Five steps from first listen to files in your edit. Nothing is signed or paid until you've seen the quote.

01

Request the catalogue

Tell me a little about the project and I'll send you the full catalogue to listen through.

02

Share the brief

Where the advert will run, in which countries, for how long, and which cut-downs you need.

03

Get a quote

I come back with a fixed fee for that use. The fee depends on how the music is used, so every quote is per project.

04

Sign the licence

A short written licence sets out exactly what's covered. Once it's signed and paid, you're cleared to use the track.

05

Get your files

High quality WAVs of the full track, the edits you need and stems, ready for the edit and the mix.

Custom composition

Need music written for the spot?

If the catalogue doesn't have the right track, I'll write one. Sonic logos, campaign music and tracks scored to picture, made to your brief and your timings. You get a plan and a fixed price before any work starts.

Questions

Can I use these tracks in a TV commercial?

Yes. Each licence is agreed for your project, so it can cover TV, online, cinema, radio or social. Tell me where the advert will run and I'll quote for exactly that.

Is this royalty-free music for commercials?

You pay one agreed fee for the use set out in your licence, and you won't owe me anything more for that use. Broadcast adverts can still earn performance royalties for the writer, but those are usually covered by the broadcaster's own licences, not by you.

Can I get stems and different lengths?

Yes. Stems and multiple lengths are available. If you need a specific edit for a 30, 15 or 6 second spot, I can cut it for you.

Do you offer exclusive licences?

Licences are non-exclusive as standard. If you need a track to yourself in a product category or a territory, ask and I'll tell you what's possible for that track.

How much does it cost to license music for an advert?

It depends on where the advert runs, which countries, for how long, and whether you need exclusivity. I quote a fixed fee once I've seen the brief, so you know the cost before anything is signed.

Request the catalogue

Tell me about your advert: where it runs, when it goes live and the feel you're after. I'll send the full catalogue and help you find the right track.
