About me

This site is run by Luke Tyler, a sole trader based at Lakeside Edge, Peterborough, PE7 8RH. You can reach me at hello@luketyler.xyz.

Buying

The price you pay is the one shown at checkout. Payments are handled securely by Stripe, and I never see your card details. Your order is confirmed when your payment goes through. You'll then get an email with a download button for each file and your licence certificate attached as a PDF.

Please download your files and keep your own copy. If you lose them, email me with your order details and I'll help.

Refunds

Your files are delivered as soon as you pay. If something isn't right, for example a device won't load in a supported version of Live, email hello@luketyler.xyz within 14 days of purchase and I'll fix it or refund you. After 14 days from the date of purchase, I can't offer refunds.

Custom composition

Custom work is agreed separately in writing, including the price, timeline and licence, before any work starts.

The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, you keep any consumer rights your local law gives you.

The licence

Every purchase comes with the licence below. It's the same wording as the certificate attached to your order email.

Who is covered

Luke Tyler ("I") grants the person named on the licence certificate ("you") a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to install and use the device you bought, on the terms below.

The licence is for one person. You can install the device on any computers you personally use. A studio, school or business buying for several people needs one licence per person.

What you can do

  • Use it in your music. Use the device in your own productions, performances and sessions, for as long as you like.
  • Own what you make. Anything you make with the device, including MIDI patterns, clips, recordings and finished tracks, is yours. Release it, sell it, license it or pitch it for sync. No credit, fee or royalty is owed to me.
  • Keep it for good. There is no subscription, renewal or expiry. Fixes to the version you bought are free.

What you can't do

  • Share or resell the device. Don't give, sell, upload or share the device file, or a copy of it, with anyone else.
  • Pass it off as your own. Don't edit, rebuild or repackage the device and distribute or sell it, in whole or in part.
  • Use it to train AI. Don't use the device, or any part of it, to train or build machine learning or AI systems.

The small print

The device is supplied as it is, for the versions of Ableton Live and Max for Live listed on its product page. I'll do my best to fix anything that doesn't work as described.

If you break these terms, the licence ends and you must delete your copies of the device. Music you made with it before then stays yours.
